HT 315: Early Church Fathers

  • 3.00 Credit Hours

Before the advent of the church denominational divide, the universal (Catholic) church was asking many questions about religion, the church, faith, and good works, as they sought understanding regarding the life-changing transformation from which they were launched, from their Messianic conversion reality. The early Church Fathers carried the mantel of the Christian faith from the teaching of the Twelve, through the dangerous waters of their times, often costing them their very lives. In addition to the Early Church Fathers, this class will delve into the lives and writings of the Apostolic Fathers, who knew, or, walked with the Disciples of Jesus, who drew their inspiration and power from the Holy Spirit, enabling them to live out their faith experience. Three credit hours.
