Course Description: This course focuses on the practical application of strategic planning principles within ministry settings. Students will learn how to develop and implement strategic plans that align with organizational vision, utilize resources effectively, and measure ministry outcomes. The course will cover various strategic planning models, data analysis for decision-making, and techniques for evaluating ministry effectiveness. Emphasis will be placed on integrating biblical principles of stewardship and discernment into the strategic planning process. As a result of completing this course, students will: 1. Develop a comprehensive understanding of the strategic planning process: Students will learn the various stages of strategic planning, from vision articulation to implementation and evaluation. 2. Apply strategic planning models to ministry contexts: Students will gain practical experience in using different strategic planning frameworks and tools relevant to churches, non-profits, and other ministry organizations. 3. Utilize data analysis for informed decision-making: Students will learn how to collect, analyze, and interpret data to inform strategic decisions and measure ministry impact. 4. Integrate biblical principles of stewardship and discernment into strategic planning: Students will explore how biblical values inform resource allocation, risk assessment, and ethical considerations within the strategic planning process. 5. Evaluate ministry effectiveness using relevant metrics: Students will learn how to define and measure key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the success of ministry initiatives and make data-driven adjustments to strategic plans. 6. Create a strategic plan for a specific ministry context: Students will develop a practical strategic plan tailored to a real-world ministry challenge or opportunity, applying the concepts and skills learned throughout the course.
