Course Description: This course provides a comprehensive overview of classroom management strategies, both secular and faith-based, with a focus on creating a Christ-centered learning environment. Students will explore various theories and techniques for establishing classroom routines, managing student behavior, and fostering a positive learning atmosphere. The course will examine the role of biblical principles in effective classroom management, including the importance of love, discipline, and grace. Students will also learn to address specific challenges in the classroom, such as disruptive behavior, student motivation, and conflict resolution. Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. Evaluate key theories of classroom management and their application to Christian education. 2. Develop a personal philosophy of classroom management grounded in biblical principles. 3. Discuss effective classroom routines and procedures to maximize instructional time and methodology to implement strategies for organizing the classroom and managing materials. 4. Identify common classroom management challenges and develop effective strategies to address them. 5. Describe methods for positive reinforcement and corrective discipline techniques consistent with Christian values. 6. Model Christian character and values in the classroom.
