Bachelor of Biblical Studies Program Overview

Program Goal:
The goal of the Bachelor of Biblical Studies program is to prepare students for lifelong study, interpretation, and application of the Scriptures. By developing their understanding of biblical content, theology, and language tools, students will be equipped to fulfill roles in ministry, education, and service within the church and society.
Degree Learning Outcomes:
Graduates of the Bachelor of Biblical Studies will be able to:
- Articulate the historical, cultural, and theological context of the Old and New Testaments.
- Identify key biblical themes and trace their development across Scripture.
- Apply sound hermeneutics and exegesis
- Utilize appropriate tools, resources, and methods for interpreting biblical texts in their original languages and contexts.
- Analyze and critique interpretations for faithfulness to the biblical text.
- Integrate theology into life and ministry
- Explain core Christian doctrines as revealed in Scripture and their relevance to contemporary life.
- Apply biblical principles to personal spiritual growth, ethical decisions, and ministry leadership.
- Effectively communicate biblical truth
- Demonstrate the ability to teach, preach, and write about Scripture with clarity and soundness.
- Contextualize biblical truths for diverse audiences and cultural settings.
- Develop practical ministry skills
- Engage in field-based ministry experiences through practicum opportunities.
- Reflect on personal calling, ministry vision, and leadership competencies.
