The Certificate of Apologetics equips students to defend and communicate the Christian faith in a complex and often skeptical world. Through engagement with biblical truth, worldview analysis, and cultural challenges, students develop a thoughtful and confident approach to apologetics. Courses emphasize both the intellectual and evangelistic dimensions of defending the faith, preparing students to address objections, engage secular perspectives, and present the gospel clearly and persuasively. This certificate is ideal for ministry leaders and laypersons seeking to strengthen their ability to articulate and defend Christianity in everyday conversations and ministry contexts.

Undergraduate Certificates

Undergraduate Certificates are intended to be a means for adult learners who do not wish to commit to an entire degree to learn more about various topics for enrichment of their faith journey or to train them for a particular context. By taking one course each term, the certificate can be earned in one year. All students require COLL100 before beginning a certificate program. (The COLL100 requirement can be waived if the student demonstrates proficiency in the CCS Turabian Style Guide, or if they have had a similar course intended to familiarize students with online learning environments. If waived, the student must select an elective as indicated.)  All certificate courses are drawn from the primary BBS2.0 degree.

Course Transfer Considerations

Only courses taken at CCS may be transferred into a certificate program. Courses must be an exact match; no equivalencies are permitted.
