This course equips students with the essential skills of reading, writing, and rhetoric for success in college, ministry, and life. Grounded in a biblical worldview, students will learn to engage critically with texts, evaluate ideas through sound reasoning, and communicate persuasively in both academic and ministry contexts. Emphasis is placed on writing well-structured, grammatically sound essays across multiple modes of discourse, with a focus on clarity, coherence, and accuracy. Students will also develop the ability to incorporate outside research effectively, applying proper citation and academic standards. By the end of the course, learners will be prepared to join the ongoing written conversations in the home, church, and world, making their mark in the service of God’s mission and advancing the gospel through faithful communication.
