  • 3 Credit Hours

  • Online

This course introduces students to the biblical foundation, historical development, and practical application of the Great Commission as the mission of the church and every believer. Students will examine the recipients and four parts of the Great Commission, including going, making disciples, baptizing, and teaching, while exploring the theological basis for global missions and the role of the Holy Spirit in advancing the gospel. Attention is given to the expansion of Christianity throughout history, key missionary movements and figures, and the development of evangelism and church-planting strategies across cultural boundaries. Through biblical study, historical analysis, and strategic planning exercises, students will develop an informed understanding of missions and cultivate a lifelong passion for disciple-making. By the end of the course, students will be equipped to integrate a global perspective into their personal walk with Christ, local church involvement, and vocational ministry.
