BIBL461: Old Testament Pentateuch

This course studies the Pentateuch as the foundation of the biblical narrative and theology. Students examine Genesis through Deuteronomy, focusing on key themes such as creation, sin, covenant, law, and the formation of God’s people. Attention is given to the historical setting, literary structure, and theological significance of these books. By tracing the development of God’s redemptive plan from the beginning of Scripture, students gain a unified understanding of the Bible’s message. This course prepares students to interpret Scripture faithfully and to recognize how the Pentateuch establishes the groundwork for the gospel.
