This course surveys the Old Testament Historical Books, emphasizing their role in revealing God’s work through Israel’s history. Students examine key events, figures, and transitions, including the monarchy, division, exile, and restoration. Attention is given to how these narratives communicate theological truth through historical events. By exploring patterns of obedience, failure, judgment, and restoration, students gain insight into God’s covenant faithfulness. This course equips students to interpret historical narrative responsibly and to apply its theological lessons to contemporary faith, leadership, and ministry contexts.
