TH 501: Advanced Christian Theology I

A study of the church’s doctrinal teaching with emphasis and support on the Holy Scriptures. It includes teaching on the Doctrine of the Word of God, Doctrine of God, Doctrine of Man and the Doctrine of Christ. (Three credit hours) Student Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to: 1. Identify what the whole Bible teaches about major theological topics. 2. Demonstrate theologically sound teaching and preaching through an understanding of the major theological doctrines. 3. Evaluate the various theological topics in order to differentiate between major and minor doctrines. 4. Assess contemporary teaching in the church with the historic, orthodox understanding of theological topics.
