This course will explore the theories, research, and practice of educational psychology within the context of a Christian worldview. Students will examine the intersection of psychology, education, and Christian beliefs to help students develop a deeper understanding of how to integrate their faith with their educational practice. Attention is given to topics such as learning theories, motivation, assessment, and cognitive development, as students examine how these relate to Christian teaching and learning. The course will also cover the ethical and moral implications of educational psychology within a Christian context. Overall, this course will provide students with a deeper understanding of how to integrate their faith with educational psychology principles, and how to use these principles to promote effective teaching and learning in a Christian context. Upon completion of the course, students will be able to:1. Compare and contrast the theories and research of educational psychology with their relation to the Christian faith. 2. Apply educational psychology concepts and principles to Christian teaching and learning. 3. Evaluate the ethical and moral implications of educational psychology within a Christian context. 4. Develop strategies for integrating faith and educational practice. 5. Analyze and critique current research in educational psychology from a Christian perspective. 6. Synthesize the principles of Christian education and educational psychology to develop effective teaching strategies. 7. Create a personal approach to educational psychology derived from the concepts studied and your personal Biblical worldview.
