This course will examine the foundations of ethics rooted in the context of a biblical framework. Students will explore the contexts of contemporary ethical choices, especially in the context of educational topics and issues. Focus will include methods of moral decision-making, the relationship of biblically informed norms, values and virtues to culture and society, and the role church in the application of ethics in culture and society. Student Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to: 1. Identify ethical situations. 2. Apply biblical principles to ethics. 3. Demonstrate pastoral purity and ministerial ethical integrity according to biblical directives. Assess organization structures and policies from an ethical perspective. 4. Employ principles of ethical decision making processes. 5. Evaluate ethical dilemmas from a biblical perspective. 6. Compare appropriate ethics decision making styles for various situations.
