BI 450: Biblical Studies Practicum

This course provides practical application of youth ministry concepts and applications through a variety of field-based education under the supervision and encouragement of an experienced ministry mentor. This course requires 90 hours of field-based learning. On completing this course, students will 1. Appraise their personal ministry vision and vocational plans based on the experiences of the field-based study. 2. Validate their knowledge, skills and abilities that affect their ability to provide ministry leadership in the context of digital ministry. 3. Choose/design, execute, and evaluate a measurable learning plan and portfolio based on ministry. The focus of a practicum is to gain bridge the gap between theory and practice, offering you a real-world opportunity to apply your academic knowledge, develop professional skills, and gain first-hand experience in your major, all under the guidance of experienced professionals. As this takes place near the end of your education, a secondary goal is to prepare you a smooth transition into your future careers.
