SOCI101: Biblical View of Society

  • 3 Credit Hours

  • Online

This course introduces students to the field of sociology from a distinctly biblical worldview. God created humanity to live in community, and societies reflect both His design and humanity’s struggle with sin. Students will examine major sociological theories while learning to evaluate cultural norms and societal behaviors through the lens of Scripture. Special attention will be given to understanding God’s plan for human society and the believer’s role as salt and light within it. By engaging both biblical and sociological perspectives, students will gain the ability to describe key theories, apply theological insights to social structures, and critically assess specific cultural practices. The course prepares students to influence their communities faithfully with the wisdom and truth of God’s Word.
