PM 720: Ministerial Leadership

This course offers pastors and church leaders insight into the daily issues of managing a church. The course will include a full spectrum of ministry practice, and topics such as time management, negotiating the terms of a call, handling crisis and conflict, church finances, special fund drives, and tax and law considerations. (Three credit hours) Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to: A. Identify a personal leadership style. B. Apply biblical principles to leadership. C. Demonstrate pastoral purity and ministerial integrity according to biblical directives. D. Assess organization structures and make suggestions for improvement. E. Employ principles of the management process, including time management. F. Formulate a program for leadership training. G. Apply the appropriate leadership style for various situations.
