Course Description Provides an overview of the financial planning and investing process. It examines personal incomes and budgets, home and consumer financing, insurance of personal assets, personal investing and retirement planning. Topics covered will include the time value of money, investments, loans and credit, budget planning and cash management, taxes, life and health insurance, and estate planning.Course Objectives. As a result of completing this course, the student will: 1. Appraise the importance personal finance planning techniques. 2. Develop effective financial decision-making 3. Demonstrate the ability to create and monitor personal and family budgets 4. Evaluate the role of investments, insurance, retirement, and estate planning in the context of biblical stewardship. 5. Evaluate appropriate personal financial decisions 6. Defend biblical principles and precepts regarding the use of money, financial planning, and personal and family stewardship of resources
