Dr. Tate has been a dedicated member of the Cornerstone College & Seminary community since 1999, first as a student and later as a faculty member. He began his teaching career in 2004, introducing students to Basic Computer Literacy—now known as Digital Ministry I—and has since taught over 40 courses spanning biblical studies, theology, in both core and elective subjects.
Dr. Tate’s diverse educational experience includes a B.A. in Computer Information Systems, a B.A. in Theology, an M.A. in Religious Education, an M.A. in Theology, and a Doctorate in Religious Education—all earned while balancing a full-time career.
Bringing 40+ years of experience in computer technology, Dr. Tate specializes in requirements gathering, problem analysis, solution design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance. He is also an Oracle Database Designer and Administrator, with expertise in Unisys MCP and Oracle Solaris operating systems.
Beyond his technical and academic expertise, Dr. Tate’s true passion is equipping students for the work God has called them to do, ensuring they are prepared both spiritually and practically to make an impact in their ministries.
