TH 502: Advanced Christian Theology II

This graduate level course covers the major Bible doctrines. This course is part two of the two course sequence. It includes teaching on the Doctrine of the Application of Redemption, Doctrine of the Church, and Doctrine of the Future. (Three credit hours) Refer to the college catalog for prerequisite requirements. Course Design Through a cooperative course structure students will use their collective intellect with classmates and the instructor to engage multiple intelligences in an active online engagement structure emphasizing the three phases of learning: information gathering, synthesizing, and communicating. It is imperative that individuals think theologically. Student Learning Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to: 1. Identify what the whole Bible teaches about major theological topics. 2. Demonstrate theologically sound teaching and preaching through an understanding of the major theological doctrines. 3. Evaluate the various theological topics in order to differentiate between major and minor doctrines. 4. Assess contemporary teaching in the church with the historic, orthodox understanding of theological topics.
