BIBL351: Biblical Archaeology

This course examines the relationship between archaeology and the biblical text, equipping students to engage questions about the historical reliability of Scripture. Students explore key discoveries, cultural contexts, and methodological principles that shape how archaeological data is interpreted. Emphasis is placed on evaluating claims about the Bible responsibly, avoiding both skepticism and overstatement. Through this study, students develop a clearer understanding of how material evidence illuminates the world of Scripture and strengthens confidence in its historical grounding, preparing them to respond thoughtfully to contemporary challenges regarding the trustworthiness of the Bible.
