This course covers the complexity of the human body as designed by God. Students will expand thier knowledge and understanding of the basic organization, structure, and function of the human body. The student identifies anatomy and explains physiology of the human body through comparative vertebrate observation and dissection. Upon completion of this course:1. The student will demonstrate an understanding of the scientist’s view of living systems and their operation. 2. The student should describe and identify the eukaryotic cell, body tissue types, and organs, and how each function together in the human body. 3. The student will explain the complex and detailed design created in the human body and the role of fitness in body wellness. 4. The student will present a description of a body system dysfunction in comparison to how God created the system to operate in its healthy state. 5. The student will learn to visibly and descriptively recognize the anatomical structures of the human body.
