PM 641: Leadership Style Analysis in Biblical Context

This course explores various leadership styles as depicted in the Bible and analyzes their relevance and application in contemporary leadership contexts. Drawing upon biblical narratives and characters, students will examine the diverse approaches to leadership exhibited by figures such as Moses, David, Deborah, Paul, and Jesus Christ. Through a combination of biblical study, case analyses, and contemporary leadership theory, students will gain insights into effective leadership principles and practices grounded in the rich tapestry of biblical teachings. As a result of completing this course, the student will: 1. Analyze the leadership styles of key biblical figures and their effectiveness in different contexts. 2. Identify and evaluate various leadership theories and frameworks in light of biblical teachings. 3. Examine the ethical implications of leadership decisions and actions as portrayed in biblical narratives. 4. Apply insights gained from biblical leadership studies to real-world leadership challenges and opportunities. 5. Cultivate critical thinking skills through the examination and comparison of biblical leadership paradigms with modern leadership theories. 6. Synthesize biblical wisdom and contemporary leadership theory to develop a personal philosophy of leadership rooted in Christian principles.
