BIBL306: New Testament Survey
3 Credit Hours
Online
This course surveys the books, themes, and historical setting of the New Testament within the fulfillment and proclamation of the overarching story of Scripture. Students examine the purpose, authorship, and audience of each New Testament book while exploring the major theological themes that define the gospel message. Particular attention is given to how the New Testament reveals Jesus Christ as the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world, proclaims the fulfillment of God’s redemptive plan, and establishes the mission of the church. Through the study of the Gospels, Acts, Epistles, and Revelation, students develop a framework for understanding how the New Testament completes the biblical narrative and provides the foundation for Christian life and ministry.
