This course is a study of group theory and team processes and their application to faith-based organizational leadership. Group dynamics, team development and the role of the ministry leader are examined. Areas of study include team building and leading, power dynamics, strategic thinking and an exploration of diversity and inclusion. The course activities will equip students for leadership for the purpose of creating positive kingdom impact. As a result of completing this course, the student will: 1. Describe the nature of group and team dynamics including the roles and functions of team members and the team leader. 2. Define a biblical and theological basis for group and team ministry relations. 3. Recognize the nature of group dynamics as they apply to the use of teams in organizational leadership. 4. Lead in strategic planning in a team environment. 5. Forecast changes and developments in the ministry environment that will impact team effectiveness.
