COUN470: Theology of Biblical Counseling

This course examines the theological foundations of biblical counseling, emphasizing how core doctrines shape counseling practice. Students explore key theological themes such as the nature of God, humanity, sin, and redemption, and their implications for counseling. Emphasis is placed on evaluating counseling approaches in light of biblical doctrine and developing a theologically consistent framework for ministry. Through this study, students are equipped to counsel with confidence, ensuring that their approach remains rooted in Scripture and aligned with the gospel. In addition, this course prepares students to pursue ACBC releated studies.
