RELG130: World Religions for Christians
3 Credit Hours
Online
This course introduces the major world religions, equipping students to understand their core beliefs, practices, and underlying worldviews. With over half of the world’s population adhering to Islam, Hinduism, or Buddhism, and with increasing religious diversity in once predominantly Christian cultures, followers of Christ must be prepared to engage wisely and faithfully. Students will explore how the biblical worldview compares and contrasts with these global faith systems, learning to identify both points of connection and areas of sharp distinction. Special emphasis is placed on how Christians can communicate the unchanging gospel with clarity and compassion across cultural and religious boundaries. By the end of the course, students will be better prepared to serve as salt and light to the nations in obedience to Christ’s Great Commission.
